The Dark 30 Defiance LS 384 PTZ is a powerful vehicle-mounted thermal imaging camera designed to open up your observation area to the extreme. Fitted with a powerful 384×288, 17µm, <40mK NETD thermal sensor and 30mm germanium objective lens and boasting an ample 12° FOV and 360° pan-and-tilt capabilities, this intuitive camera will allow you to scan the entire observation area and detect even the smallest heat source at a range of up to 1150m, all from the comfort of your car.

As the only PTZ camera currently on the market to come with a direct camera-to-screen interface, images are presented in stunning 1920×1200 high-definition onto a generous 10.1” LCD screen with almost no latency, providing a near-lossless thermal image and enhancing your situational awareness. Setting the screen up and breaking it back down when not in use is nice and simple, allowing you to focus less on getting ready and more on the task at hand.

Tailor Your Experience with Five Thermal Palettes

Five thermal imaging palettes are available on the large display screen, allowing you to adapt to changes in environmental conditions. White Hot and Black Hot palettes are perfect for detection, distinctly pinpointing hotspots. Rainbow, Magenta, and Green Hot palettes are excellent choices when it comes to identifying an observed object’s minute anatomical features.

Discover a Multitude of Mounting Options

Multiple mounting options are available, catering to all types of user needs. Use the suction cup or magnetic feet if you want to mount the camera during observations and dismount it when not in use or go for the direct mount to bolt it to a vehicle for a more permanent thermal solution. Installation has been made nice and simple, with all required hardware provided — ensuring you’re ready to go in no time at all.
